I hope I'm not reading his correctly...your SG has been at 1.02, and you raised it overnight to 1.022???
Please confirm.

Yes over 12 hours it's an insignificant change, much less than a 3 hour acclimation assuming there was any difference between the distributor and home tank

Raising salinity is safer than lowering it. You did it right. Mona 1.020 to 1.022 isn't much when typed that way....

The description of the yellow h-erectus horses on this site states that they need live food. Have you tried that, and how did that go?

When I purchased it they were advertised as eating frozen mysis and I asked them again specifically in an email....nevertheless, I'm not convinced he's a yellow anyway...unable to find live brine here will have to go into houston in am

How is he/she doing? I'm glad to hear that your new little kuda is doing fine.

I'm not optomistic...she hasn't left the plant...stays tightly curled at the base and has her head down...color and fins are good she is breathing at a rate that is probably fast, but since my experience is limited I'm not sure what normal is...its possible shes eating stuff that's in the tank...I'm going to find some live brine in the am and see how that goes...

If you can find some Decapsulated Artemia Cysts, you can hatch your own baby brine shrimp. While you're at the LFS you might want to also pick up a bottle of amphiopods or copepods too.
