I have a gold stripe clown fish and a blue hawaiian puffer and i feed them both shrimp. I wanted to know how much exactly I should feed them. The package says as much as they can eat in 2 to 3 minutes but that is not very clear. Does anyone know an exact amount i should give them, a quaters size a nickle...more...less? I have been giving them under a quarter but I feel like thats not enough....any ideas?

how big are the fish? you can increase the number of times they are fed so that they stay reasonably satisfied and as a result are less likely to develop aggressive behavior

Welcome to the boards!! You should be feeding them more than just shrimp. Pick up some frozen formula foods in a flat package. You can break off what you need. Fish will always beg for more. You have to know the needs of the fish. Your clown would be happier with two feedings a day, while your puffer only needs to eat once per day. You can accommodate them both with a small feeding earlier in the day, then the main meal at night.

My clown fish is 3+" by 2+" and my puffer is a bit smaller....I feed them once a day around dinner, someone else said that I should feed them a little in the morning and more at night?
