Everything I have read says that the biggest problem with new people to the hobby is overfeeding. SO if you fine people could give me some advice......
I have 3 fish. One is a niger Trigger size of a quarter. A Magenta Dottieback, and a Scooter Blennie. I have 25 crabs and some hardy Gorgonian and mushrooms.
How often should I should I feed if I am using "formula one" Frozen red cubes?
I am currently feeding a 1/4 of a cube everyother day!

As far as I'm concerned, I was told to feed only what the fish consume in 3 minutes.
I have a perc. clown, camel shrimp, cleaner shrimp, & CC starfish in a 10 Gal. I feed 1/4 cube every day. (the starfish gets raw shrimp, so he doesn't count.) I don't think I feed too much b/c they eat it up so fast. There's like 0 leftovers. (The cleaner shrimp is a PIG!) HTH - Tara

Chris, that seems like about the right amount of food for that amount of fish. You could feed them more, and I'm sure the fish would eat more than that in 3 minutes, but I think that if you are trying to be sure you don't foul your water by too much feeding, then you have it about right. Of course, you will have to feed more later, as the fish grow. I used to feed half a frozen cube every other day, and now I'm feeding a whole cube, a chunk of frozen seafood every other day, and suplimenting with flakes.

Tank size? Filtration? L/R? L/S? clean up crew?
I don't beleive in starving fish especially when small and they need proper nutrition to grow into healthy adults. I would feed a variety of foods everyday. Small amounts of course. This assumes all above mentioned is adequate.
