IS it normal for a feather duster to release "its feathers" ?
I put a few anenomes in teh tank, few pink tip hatians and one landed next to the feather duster, and al of a sudden I see the feather thing floating around.
Hiya,
Yeap...I know if an anenome landed on me, it would stress even me out! It might have even got stung.
Can't guarantee it will regrow it's crown...it may not make it.

I raed an article in aquarium magazine that sometimes they do shed their crowns because of stress. Either fish or hermit crabs are bothering them, or the they don't like your water quality. If the worm is still alive, eventually the crown will grow back. However this may also be a sign that the worm died. It happened to me too
yea, well, I just noticed the temp in my tank was OUT OF CONTROL, was >82degrees, my heater is busted and I removed it, I hope that the tank can sustain it's self ofr a few hours like this.
