thanks.. shes doubled in size since I got her
You said you still have bio-balls How much LR do you have?
once you get up around the 30% mark you should take them out it will cause nitrate problems
If you didnt chave the sandbed you should be ok
keep a close eye on your levels

Presently I have about 20 lbs of lr and 80lbs of ls. I try to add few lbs of lr and some base rock at the same time. Its work in progress. What your saying is to remove the bio balls when there is a sufficent amount of lr? Im new to this type of filtration. The last sw tank I had wasa 55 gal 15 yrs ago and things have certainly changed.

I dont think the bubbles the way he has em is that terrible. sort of ornamental and not all over but I guess there gone now.

In my opinion no, especially the naso, they get huge fast.

how long does it take for the sailfin to get that big?
I would think the size of your tank is relative to the size of the fish you put in it

The live rock will become your biological filter along with your sandbed. if you leave the bioballs they will hold nitates.
once you get the right amount of LR all you need is a good skimmer in your sump.
I have a G2 on my sump for my 75 works great

What do you all recommend, for fish, for a 90 gal. Eventually I would like to make a reef out of it but this will probably not happen for a while due to Budget restraints(the Mrs.)

do you plan on having inverts like.. skunk shrimp and shrimp for tht fact?
if not look into hawk fish.. specially a flame or a long nose.. both very nice
lookinto angels as well. some nnice ones for tht size tank could include
flame angel
coral beauty
ebli angel (sp?)
lemonpeel
black angel
one one per tank though
then 2 clowns and maybe a school of 2-3 chromis if there is room
sailfin
angel (dwarf species)
hakwfish (if no shrimp)
2 clowns
2-3 chromis
it is alot b ut keep an eye on your levels with a good test kit and you should be good
btw if you plan on keeping tht tang then i would say dithc the chromis give him some more room and/or keep the stock levels to a minimum
