Is fiberglass reef safe or toxic?

Well, I'm no expert, but sometimes when big reef aquariums are made, they use fiberglass, but I don't know if its coated. And lots of boats that go over reefs and other places are made of fiberglass, but again I don't know if its covered. So I'm not positive, but it sounds ok, but you might want to get more than one opinion and do a little research. Out of curiosity, and you making a LARGE aquarium?
