Ok here's the deal, i bought a niger trigger today, his new tankmates are 1 blue damsel,2 false perc clowns,1 lawnmower bleny, and 1 yellow tang and 1 cb shrimp. the tang and the trigger are the same size but within 1 minute of putting the trigger in the tang went over to him with no hesitation and started swimming right up next to him and swimming backwards and hitting the trigger with his tail. why is he doing this? :notsure:

he wants to take the trigger's ich off its body and put it on his own?
probably a dominance thing. i'm surprised your trigger didn't eat it.

My tang was doing this to a coral beauty and he left wounds on him after a couple of days.. I got rid of the tang. My tank (45 gal) was too small for him anyhow. I inherited him in an even small tank (20gal). :scared:

it is 75 gal, i placed a mirror in front of the tank to give the trigger some time to explore and it worked. the tang is;nt going after him anymore just when he swims in the tangs area, so hopefully it will all work out

I think that that just incase the tang will attack again you should get a fuge. Just a suggestion though.
