Puffer...you can remove the tang if he is really tormenting and/or injuring the tusk provided you have another tank set-up that can house the tang comfortably. This hobby is a crapshoot at times...the tang could stop the torment...or continue to the fish is dead.
In my 30 plus years in this hobby I have seen both instances numerous times. A fish one day will simply stop once he/she feels the message has been sent...or simply continue. JMO

A UV Can be a mans best friend. It must be installed properly,and have the right sized pump.... It deffanatley controls the parrasite from spreading. GOOD EXAMPLE...
I had a tank wipeout due to ich... one month later i added fish again and they were also infected..very frusterating....
since there were no fish in the tank and the parrasite were volnurable The UV did its job... So from my experiance...A UV Can Optimize water quality..not to mention got rid of alot of that bad algea
