I have a pair of maroon clowns in a 54g with 60 lbs of live rock. They have been in there for like 3 months. The tank is well established and parameters are normal. I came home and looked at them and they were fighting. Like im talking ripping small pieces of fins. Is this normal and what should i do. They have naver acted like this. thanks

One may be trying to become the dominant one. If they are ripping each other apart all the time then you can either wait and see what happens and either one will win an be dominant and change --- to female, maybe one will die or you can separate them by taking one back to the lfs if that's where you got it. I myself would wait and see what happens, maybe rearrange your some of you rock.
I have only one maroon and I know they can be vicious since mine has put a much larger Trigger in its place and the trigger doesn't bother him now.

maroon clowns are very aggressive and one will most likely kill the other.i would take one out.you should not put maroons with any other clown fish.

He said he had a piar of maroon clowns. They should pair up. I would try rearranging some of the landscape to take their mind of their troubles.
