I'd be interested in how they're getting along. Though they usually dont tolerate their own species, i found that a tank w/ adequate rockwork/vegetation and a larger tank in general, tended to allow me to keep several of them together.

All the GSPuffs were in placed the tank at the same time.
They were about the same size when I purchased them too.
Ok.. Right now in my salty puffer tank.( 1.023)
2-grogonians
1- 3inch PENCIL URCHIN.
They hovered around and took a look at him when i first dropped him in and it has been ignored for 30+ hours. It Has moved around the tank too.
1- 2" frag of Blue / Green Zoo's ( about 10-15 buds)
They are open. And completely ignored by my puffers.
There were about 2 or 3 little brown 3/4in tall polyps on this rock as well.
They are gone.
So , NO TALL POLYPS.
Check my similar post on the REEF forums here.
More info and pics coming.

Although I love them (they are almost like dogs and have great personality), Figure 8's can definately tear the hell out of other fish in the same tank. I had a spotted lepard puffer who was the greatest- never bothered a thing- so I decided to get two tiny tiny figure 8's to go in the tank with him....needless to say they had shredded all the other fish within a matter of HOURS so I took them to another local fish store (it was either that or flush them) who, after a day, nicknamed them Satan and Lucifer. I wouldn't risk it. It's a sad sad thing to watch other fish you love getting ripped apart. Just my 2 cents
