Hi ,
I have a 125 Gallon salt water fish tank. .
Plain and simple i am looking a fish only possibly live rock tank. For now i have one faulse percula clown one blue devil damsel and one domino damsel. These fish have been in the tank for aprox. 6 months. During these six months i have consistenly added fish one at a time. several yellow tangs, and a bi color angel. None of them have survived. I belive this to be a function of improper filtration....
The tank setup as of today..
125 salt,
Crushed coral base
assorted dead coral, ( bubble , ect.)
I have a penguin dual bio wheel filter.
i have a skilter 400 ( filter and protien skimmer)
1 hot magnum.
This week i have changed the magnum over from activated carbon to Fluval Bio Media. And added Fluval bio media to the skilter. both were previously activated carbon...
Funds are not unlimited.. but i looking for recomendations on filter selection and protien skimmer?
Any help or tips would be greatly appreciated
Thanks,
Ps. i have the luxury of having a water testing labratory at my disposal; if that would help. ( also i have nearly unlimited acess to Deionized water)
