filter or skimmer?

I have an existing tank with live rock and corals that I am going to move to another tank and keep only fish and maybe an anemone. Should I leave the skimmer on OR I was thinking about buying a magnum 350 deluxe filter system. What is the better way to go. Thanks for your advice.

I would run the skimmer and the mag350.

do both. the skimmer is essential while the filter if not being used for carbon can be used to help circulate the water. i run a prizm skimmer and a penguin filter with no filter pads or biowheel. the filter is strictly water flow and i can always run carbon when i want to.
