Filter pad in system

How many people run their system with no filter pad or filter floss? For those of you who don't do you have paticles floating in display?

I use them now. I didn't use them for a long time, but now that I do my water is a lot more clear.

i use the pads and sponge it helps filter out the junk.i clean the pads and sponge every other day to keep the rates down.

Yes, they do require cleaning regularly.
