In the planning/building stages of my 125-135 aggressive tank. Whats the filter set up everyone is using. I will be running a sump and and tyrying to decide whether to turn an old 55 into a wet dry and use 3-5 gallons of bio balls. I do plan on using live rock as well as an ASM G3 skimmer. Any and all help is appreciated.

I wouldn't use bioballs. They're always a big source of nitrates.

Yes but nitrates dont accect fish like they do inverts and corals correct? Also if you rinse the balls on a regular basis they are not supposed to be nitrate factories

Just saying that there are better alternatives to bioballs. Seachem Matrix works just as good if not better. Even LR rubble works.
And nitrates don't affect fish as much but you still don't want it in the hundreds.
