Yeah, though you might want to take one out and leave the other one in, so you don't mess up your biological filtration. The good bacteria has built up on both pads, so if you remove one, leave the other in so the shock on the tank isn't so bad. Then, when you get your filter pads, put the new one in and wait a couple more days to change the other one out. Technically, the filter isn't actually doing much to begin with, but now that it's there, the biological aspect will have some bearing. It won't be bad if you've already done it, and technically you don't really need the filter on there (HOB filters are somewhat worthless, imo), just less stress to the tank this way.
