Filtration Question

hey every one i was wondering if there a 20 gallon filter is good for a 3 gallon tank in saltwater for flow?
i dont know if it has enough flow so i dont need a powerhead im trying to setup as cheap as possible

The filter is fine...it could be used alone only if it moves the surface of the water and deep inside the tank. If not, then you wont have enough movement in the water to oxygenate the tank. In such a small tank an air line would be just fine...no stone
. Just zip tie the air line to a rock to keep it deep in the tank, and let the large bubbles break at the surface. That's what I do for my small quarantine tank. An air pump is much cheaper than a power head.

thanks for responding quickly and i agree a pump is definatly a lot cheaper than a powerhead and ill do the air line to rock thankyou for your help
