I have a 55g with an emperor 400 power filter on it. ( The one with 2 bio wheels) I just ordered the pro clear 75 wet dry filter. Would it be ok to remove the emperor or should I let both filters run? Thanks
I run a Penguin 400 Biowheel and a 150 GAL PRO WET/DRY FILTER W/ SKIMMER on my 55 gal. I don't see why you would want to remove it? My vote would be for you to run both. JMO
id say keep it on if the look of it doesnt bother you or impede the wet/dry. the penguin will add extra water flow which is always a good thing. also you can use it to run carbon if you need to.
Thanks for the input. Let me tell you why I thought I might remove it. I have all glass tops on my tank and I cant slide the top back far enough to have it sit right. It hits the filter.
