I have a wet/dry filter with a skimmer and a fair amount of LR. Do I need any other filtration (canister, etc) for mechanical filtration or will this do. My paramaters are all good right now, but I haven't added any live animals yet. Been cycling for about 5-6 weeks.
I did notice today for the first time extremely small, almost transparent worms on a piece of algae. Also a few little (pencil head size) things on the glass. Almost look like miniature jellyfish or something like that. It's the first real life outside of 2 feather dusters that I've seen. They will probably get eaten once my cleanup crew arrives on Tuesday.

Oh, and by the way, I also noticed for the first time that there are a very large number of small flea like critters on my glass, low near the sand. Based on reading threads, I'm pretty sure they are copepods. And I guess they are a good thing.
