Filtration

Hey everyone I am planning on picking up a 38 gallon tomorrow and had a filtration question. If I am using live sand and live rock, would a CPR backpack skimmer be enough to provide for good filtration of the tank in conjunction with the rock and sand?? Thanks!!

i would say it depends on what your planing to put into it.. it should be good to go with enough LR . But then again you might want to look at a canister filter if your not going with a wet/dry or sump.

The sand will provide all the filtration you need if it's truly LIVE and full of infauna.
That skimmer is also a good one IMO.
