I have a nikon coolpix s6 and cant get any good pics. What settings do you use. How do you zoom and such. Maybe just some pointers would be nice. Thanks

GreyMach this is how i do it....
1) Go to scene mode. make sure the little flower is in the lcd display
2)Zoom all the way up.
3)Turn the flash off
4)Put the cam against the glass and when you push the button to take the pic do it in one full motion a solid push will do.
(dont hold it down to focus, it may not look good on the screen but after you take the picture it will look nice and pretty.)

WOW..those are nice pics. Just a quick question, how do you get around the 500x500 size restriction in your pics. I see all of yours are 800 x 600. My camera takes pretty decent pics, but when I try and put them on here, by the time I "degrade" them to the 500x500 size restriction, they arent worth posting.

I dont think you are. I've seen other pics on here that are larger than the 500 x 500. It makes the pics look great! Thanks, I'll check into it.
PS...keep your pics coming I love them!

Very nice Pics!
I have the nikon coolpix s3 and I do get some really great shots, but my indoor pictures, especially if someone is moving, do not come out very well. If the lighting is not that great they are even worse, even with the flash. I think I just need to spend some time practicing. It's just frustrating when I really want a pic (usually indoors) they come out blurry. I've tried all sorts of settings, but just can't figure it out yet. With that said, my close up shots usually turn out great.
