Hey all! I finally switched my CC to live sand today! I bought the west carribean reef live sand so it is sand but it has a few really interesting looking shells in it. Very nice looking! The water is HELLACLOUDY right now from the sand, but I will try to post pics of it later tonight. Just thought I would share!!

Well, this pic is still pretty cloudy because the sand is still settling to the bottom. I love it though! I do apologize for the cluttered look, but I am still messing around with the rock and stuff, although I do like the left half of the tank. Anyway, here's the after pic!!

Thanks Wax! I cant wait to see how my tank will look once its cleared up. I am SOOOOOO happy I did it, but I kind of regret it. I have been having back problems...

Yeah it's a back breaker. After Katrina I had to take out all my rock and gravel and rinse it all for hours. I about killed myself.

Man, let me tell ya, I am SOOOOOO glad I live in Michigan, and cant get hurricanes. However, tornadoes on the other hand... :scared:

Tornadoes suck too. I lived in North Dakota for 4 years and it seems like the siren was always going off. Plus I lived there the year Grand Forks flooded. Had to evacuate up there too!

Where are your fish? Did you put them somewhere else or leave them in the tank? I'm trying to get the nerve to switch myself.

Oh, when I took that picture, I still had the fish in a 10 gallon with a little aquaclear and a heater. Now they're in there...OBVIOUSLY. I love it though! My tank is still a bit cloudy but it is looking very nice. Definetly worth it!!!

Nah, I like my sand. Plus, my sand bed is only about an inch deep. So it isnt a big deal.
