Finally RO/DI on it's way!

I finally bough my ro/di. I decided to go with the 5 stage plus system from Bulk Reef Supply. I got into a group buy sale with some local reefers and now it's on it's way. And I have a couple of questions.
-How good or bad would it be too hook it up to the kitchen faucet under the sink?
-Any advice hooking it up for the first time?
Now I just keep refreshing the UPS tracking page like a hunter stalking on it's prey

Since I rent, I can't make any permanent changes to the plumbing, so I installed a simple "Y" adapter to the washing machine supply, and attached the RO/DI unit there. It's also nice because I use the washer's waste pipe for the RO/DI waste output as well.

Home depot, lowes, ACE ....ETC sells a "T" splitter that screws inline under sink. Forgot whats it called but you can ask once you get there. I had to get one when I was installing my dishwasher.

I have a dual utility sink in my basement and have that same system installed with the faucet adapter it came with. Works perfect with 64 on the guage! I just flip the directional when I actually need to wash my hands.

Awesome, thanks guys! I'll try the adapter that it comes with first and if that doesn't work I'll go around using the one in the pic!

I have mine underneath my sink and so glad I hooked it up that way. No more water jugs. Nice. The unit should come with a splitter to tap into the cold water supply. In order to hook the 1/4inch tubing to the splitter you can get ice maker supply tubing at home depot. It is 1/4inch and it has a small brass fitting on the end. It is made to hook up to the back of your fridge for ice, but works perfect for RO/DI units too!

That's a cool setup, I might try doing it that way. So far the water coming out has always been ice cold even during Summer time

I just got the unit this morning and it's awesome. Finally no more going to the LFS with5 pales of 5 gallons each and paying $1.50 per gallon...

This thing is a beast. So far it's been making 5 gallons of good water and 7-8 gallons of bad water per hour. My PSI reads at 69-71. The TSD is reading 5 going in and 0 going out.
Now to the salt mixes; any recommendations on what salt mix to use? I've heard great things about the Coralife and Oceanic. I've heard bad things about the Tropic Marine and Instant Ocean. Any thoughts on these?

I use Oceanic. No really complaints. Don't know why complain about salt. Their is a new salt out that is suppose to be really amazing.

I've heard that the Tropic Marine salt had some elevated magnesium levels and the pH was a bit low. I'm also leaning a bit more towards the Oceanic brand
