Finally some PICS

Well after re-doing the tank completely, and letting everything settle down, I finally have a couple of pics I can throw up on the site. This process has been very slow and I am still trying to lower the calcium levels (through rodi water changes - not so easy with a 180G - biggest tupperware I have is 31 gallons so I can only do 15% change at a time) but I still have white solid calcium particles floating in the tank.
Currently there are two clowns and a yellow tang along with a handful of snails and hermit crabs and one fighting conch (My favorite!). And 2 porcelain crabs that never show themselves.
Heres the first pic.

Here is a pic from the back. You can see the tank through the steps. Not a great pic but you get the idea

That looks like a very nice set up. I love that you can view it from both sides like that!
I take it you have access panels for plumbing, lighting, etc.? I'd be interesting in seeing how you went about arranging that.
Nice job!

That looks amazing! I love that you can see it from the end in the stairwell. Great touch! I'd love to see pictures of the side you access the tank from. Is it just on a stand in the next room, so that from that room it just looks like the typical tank on a stand? or is the whole thing in the wall? Does it have a little access room with no other purpose than working on the tank? I'd love to tackle this kind of project one day and want to know how you did it.

As soon as I get some new batteries for my camera I will take some pics of the back of the tank. I access it though a door off of the TV room and it is the entrance to the basement. Although it is playing havoc with me b/c I cant see to find a good lighting configuration other than pendants that will fit.
I actually bought the house with the tank in the wall and re-did the entire tank so I can not take credit for its design.

I figure I have a weekend and a sledge hammer. Do you think I can do it. The last weekend my wife left town, I put in a refugium and sump. She still hasn't forgiven me. What do you think she will say if I knock a wall out.
That set-up is a dream.
Nice going!
