Well, Im probably going to order online unless the other LFS by me ( a 1 hour drive I mean) has some tonga and if its only 8 or 9 a lb then I'll get that,, I mean I only need like 10# so Id really rather not have to order 20ish from online to save some money. though I may find out if any of my club members need any and want to split the shipment

I emailed one of the ones within an hours drive from me and he has some Pukani rock for $9 a lb so I will probably stop by there this week when I have a chance to
look at it and get my test kits and such too...
still thinking about all the fishy possibilities..
I know I want a possum wrasse*
Id like either a tailspot blenny or barnacle blenny
a rainsford goby?
or a clown goby?
I know only 2 or 3 fish in this tank and it will be full so im just having such a hard time deciding which ones!
The possum wrasse will hide for the first few weeks... if I get LPS the clow goby may sit on them and cause a tissue problem... theres just
so much to think about, lol

Hi,
This is the best time to set up that quarantine tank.......a CUC should go in first if you already have algae.

Im just getting a diatom outbreak... gotta check my ammonia before adding anything, lol...
and Im only getting 2 fish so Im not going to QT being that Ill add them in 2 weeks or so and then wait another 4 atleast before I start adding corals..
(i used to QT for my 150g being that I had alot of possible problems but with just these 2 im going to have to chance it since I dont have the ability to set up a QT for just these 2 fish as my landlord says 20g MAX, lol)

I understand, if that is the only two fish you ever plan to add...however if they get ich you could still have a nightmare on your hands. Fish don't always die from ich, sometimes they can fight it off and live with it in the system.... the ich is there waiting for a little stress, than attacks full force.
A 10g tank, a little overflow type filter and a piece of plastic PVC pipe or decoration and an air pump (use the airline tube instead of a power head..NO STONE) Put water from your display when you do a water change, and have a sponge or filter material in the DT to place in the QT when you get the fish. It's super easy, and not any big deal to set up.

the problem is I CANT set up a 10g tank, lol literally the owners are counting every single drop (okay not the owners, but the property manager...) and she wanted the paperwork on mine to look it up...the only thing she's anal about is my tank... not getting my work orders done or anything.. geezus...
Im probably going to go to a WYSIWYG site and get my 2 fish at the same time as on that site they are usually quarantined in their facility for a month .. so we'll see how it works.. if they are sick I may just have to set up a 20g tank and set up a whole new system, lol and use the cube for a QT and hide it in the stand...

The manager should not be in your apartment unless something is being repaired. I have had my share of snoopy, harassing landlords....it's cause to break a lease.

its a house.. shes only been in 1 time but was VERY specific as to the aquarium rules... but next time the owners stop by to bring something to us Im going to talk to them about it... the property manager is fairly incompetent anyways....

Check out some renters insurance, if you are insured against damage done by a fish tank then your landlord will relax and let you have any size tank you want. Renters insurance only costs about $20.00 a month, and it will cover your apartment for fire, theft or vandalism as well. The cost is cheap and it gives you and your landlord peace of mind.

In all the years I have rented, only one person objected to my fish tanks and the renter insurance calmed their misgivings. A fish tank is no more than a piece of furniture. Birds in cages and fish tanks are the two things you don't even bother to list as pets.
