Finally started my 12g aquapod!

Okay,,, took the leap today and bought the Used 50g...also 2 barnacle blennies, a possum wrasse and an orange lined cardinal!! (kinda using my 12g as a QT until the new tank is setup)
They are all so TINY and CUTE! geez ill be cutting the cube in 1/4's to feed each day, lol
and I have to say I am going to want about 4 more orange lined cardinals.. they are SO PRETTY!! their lines are shiny!!

The owners came over to our house last week and he got their phone number and just called them instead... our property manager is a lazy Biot** I think the reason she was being such a pain was then she'd have to call and talk to the owners....

Im just super excited NOW!!! Im going to start building the stand (since I have the wood) but I will have to start buying stuff piece by piece... Im going to troll CL for most.. and my husband is going to build me some LED'S :)
the 50g does have a center brace so what I may do is order an odyssea MH while I wait ( probably a while) for my husband to the LED fixture)
Now I get to start a NEW THREAD!!! (though I need to take pictures of my new fishes before that :) they just have to get accustomed to the tank so you can actually SEE them, lol

Well.... unfortunently all of my fish have died the barnacle blennies from not eating enough.. the possum wrasse hid for the last 3 days and didnt eat either and now the orange lined cardinal is missing... in a 12g tank that means hes dead...
There are a few issues with the tank..
#1 my temp. is fluctuating and my dang thermometer seems to be off and its a new one!!
#2 there is WAY to much chlorine in our tap water... that could have had an impact with the fish too...(I am buying an RODI unit before setting up my other tank)
#3 the kenya trees are okay (I know they are tough as nails but geezus...)
#4 I could get my salinity to stay constant... probably something to do with the chlorine in the water...

small tanks can fluctuate and have chemical problems ALOT faster than big tanks, since the wter volume is different. keep at it and dont be discouraged!

I know...and i havent had a problem with the heaters/therm. For the 3 weeks previous...so i think i need some new heaters...these are 10you years old,lol
and i wont be adding any new fish...atleast not until i get an RO/DI and my new 50gor set up and cycling ...im not used to small tanks and my lack of feeding may have also contributed...i need to get an auto matic feeder and also do some pellets for the next ones....only feeding 1may time a day is not enough for the little guys ...i had been doing 2 times a day for the last week but wiht the possum wrasse not eating i feel i may have cause irreversible harm :( and then he died.
