Sounds good!It will help your cycle, throw a dead shrimp in there.I am assuming you have nothing else except the lr.Watch your ammonia go up and then down when it lowers start testing nitrite and wait for that to go up & down then check nitrates.By this time you should be ready for a water change.

Sounds great! I think that that amount of LR is perfect for you tank. Everyone say 2lbs/gal, but I think 1.5 is good. After that things start looking cramped. The LR should cut your cycle into almost nothing. You should be good in a couple days. I feel that the minimal die off alone from the LR is enought to get the cycle going. But that is just my opinion...I could be wrong.

Be prepared for the rock to start looking less good as you go through the cycle. It's painful to watch, but a necessary part of the whole process. Don't add any extra rock right now. I'd wait until what you have stabilizes. Just keep in mind that each time you add rock you'll have a mini-spike. So don't add new rock the same time as anything else new.

yeah the tank has been up for a few days. I have had dead shrimp in there. The amonia spiked and is still up. I have 75lbs of rock the tank looks stacked. I cant tell you how excited I am. The rock has tons of coraline alge and other nick nacks that look great. Tons of plant life and so on. One thing my tank is still cloudy, from the aragonite. How long until it will go clear, should i take out some water.
