I can't believe it happened....
If they were playing for a field goal, why didn't they do it on 3rd down!?!
This just makes it that much easier for rooting for next week's games.

i agree... if you play for field goals you go on 3rd just in case of a botched snap... in the first half both qb's looked like a deer in head lights...

I'm not a Dallas fan and thought it was funny as hell. I hate T.O. and was enjoying every minute of it.

Ugh, that ruined my whole week.
On the other hand, Romo had to come down some time.
I just wish it had been at some other point.

Bledsoe was 3-3 at the beginning of the year before being benched. . The W-L of Romo over the last 6 regular season games 3-3..with a choke playoff loss for a sterling end of season record 3-4. .
The Golden Boy turned out not to be much better than Bledsoe. ...if you measure success W-L. He was 6-4 in 10 starts regular season...6-5 including playoffs. he also played a horrible half against the Giants in their first matchup....so...he contributed to that third loss for Bledsoe. In fact, I beleive the game was closer when Bledsoe was in.
He backed into the Pro-Bowl as he was touted as the Golden Child....the next big thing. . If the voting was held today he would not be in there in my opinion.

They were not playing for the field goal due to time remaining. If they picked up the first they could have run the clock. They had over a minute on thrid down so it made no sense to kick it and give the ball back to Seattle with more than one minute remaining.
The field goal call was the right move on 4th down. That is an automatic and players usually do not choke in that situation form that close.

does make you wonder about the qb situation in the nfc if he is making it to the pro bowl. I don't really blaim him for the demise of the Cowboys this season. It directly stemmed from there HORRIBLE defense the last few games. Seriously, greg ellis needs to renegotiate his contract. His loss is what put the boys on ice this year.

Other teams in the nfc that made the playoffs also had injuries to key players. They still mamanged to make the playoffs and finish with a higher seed then the Cowboys. I'm not sure I can buy into the fact that the Ellis injury is what hurt that defense or casued them to play poorly. IMO...Dallas does not have the folks to play a 3-4 scheme as of yet. Their defensive line is pretty weak and they have no dominant NT which is an absolute in a 3-4 base defense.
With the exception of Bress, all the other TRUE Pro Bowl caliber QB's are in the afc. kitna certainly put up some #'s but his W-L record is...well horrible. If you held the voting today Garcia may have slipped in.
The Pro-Bowl should be an award for outstading play. Should individual acheivement take precedent over some 4 or 5 game flash in the pan performance? Romo was the GOlden Child early on...only to come back down to earth as not anything special as of yet. He has promise...as did other QB's that performed over a small stretch...only to be buried as a career back-up after their 5-6 game claim to fame.
hard to tell but the QB play in the nfc is overall weak....and no real youngsters up and coming in the nfc IMO. I guess you can hang that tag on Romo...although latel;y he certainly has played down to a non-Pro-Bowl player level.
