Well i did it, Finally! I switched out my old 60 wide to a 75. Limited space so could not go bigger just yet! I had my tank out in the garage, when i came home yesterday it was at 87 degrees!
I almost passed out! I only lost my sea hair,
All others made it through the boiling process!

i would say either a move inside the a/c'd house or a chiller is in your very immedite future!! i live in florida and i had to buy a window unit for my room to keep my tank temp down!

If you have a glass cover on your tank, take it off immediately. Get some egg crate material and cut it to cover your tank. This will lower your tank's temp substantially. However you will have considerably more evaporation after this... Invest in some cheap computer fans for your canopy. Use at least 2 of them. Use one to suck cold air in and one to blow hot air out. I do this and keep my tank at 82 degrees with 390 watts of light on a 72 gal tank.
If your tank gets direct sunlight then either move it or cover up the window. Sunlight=bad

I had moved it out there to paint the inside of the house, had no had the time to get the new tank and move it all back in! But all is good now!
