yay my tank is cycling! I have about 15 ibs of live rock in it right now thats all I could afford. I will add some more soon, tomorrow I will add the live sand that i picked up, I returned the reef sand that I had got before.
Where does everyone keep their heater in the Nano cube? It tells me on my heater do not submerge underwater line but when i close the top of the cube there is no space so it pushes the heater down past the water level.

Looking good... Are you testing your salinity with a refractometer or hydrometer? Not sure if your question was answered above but its best to use a refractometer.. Much much more accurate.

if you're cycling, itll add a bit. just keep testing your water. I suggest that if you want to add lr later on to cure it separately in a different tank/bin. I will be doing this as well for my upgrade. Going to get dry rock and cure it and seed it in a plastic tub with water. Going to have a cheap 12$ pump for water circulation.

all the rock I have gotten so far and all the rock i will be getting will already be cured.
here is a couple more pictures, got a little closer for ya guys.
i had some smaller rocks so i made a little hide out closer to the front of the tank.

Be careful with the mandarin if you are just beginning keepping fish i would pass untill your tank is very matureif you get a mandarin put a bottle of pods (around 20$ a bottle) in at least every few weeks, or you could breed pods. they can eat themselves out of house and home in around a month.

thanks for the advice, i dont think i need to add them every few weeks that is the whole reason why i made a refugium so that the pods can reproduce without being eaten. I am not going to get the mandarin until my tank is completely established.

some new pics and a little update on the tank.
I think I need to pick up CUC members. I have alot of what looks like alge growing on the live rocks. I also have a couple other questions.
I took acouple pictures of things growing on the rocks, wondering if anyone could identify anything. especially the 2nd to last picture in the middle it looks like its some kind of coral growing i wish i could get a better picture but its with my iphone.

It's been awhile so here a little update.
I have two clowns and a bi colored blenny
I love my clowns they are always doing that dominace/mating dance to each other tho and chase each other around. My large female hides in this little cave that I have is this normal?
The bicolored blenny I've just had for 2 days I love it but. I do t know if I can keep it. It is very messy, it's poop is huge and it's all over, I think it killed one of my cleaner snails. I found a snail shell empty.
It is gonna be impossible to gt it out tho since it lives in the cracks if my live rock.
I think it even ate the little coral that was growing on my live rock that I was excited about :( I did get it because I do need something to control the Algea.
Any input also I have hear things on my glass they are so tiny and look lime little snowflakes any ideas?
