well there is no such thing as cheap and good macro.
you have a few options.
At Sigma4less you can get the Tokina 100, Tamron90, Sigma 105 all for around the $330 mark..There is also the 50mm Sigma Macro but thats going to be to short shooting into a tank if any of the corals are further back.
Any of those are all going to be VERY good lens just depends on your price range

thanks for that site, my question, what am i looking for when i look for a good macro lens i mean my 75-300 is great except i need to stand about 4 feet away from the tank and zoom into the object for it to focus if i get to close it wont focus, so i want to be able to be closer to the tank, and zoom in closer to the object and have it focus perfectly.....

macro means it gives you a 1:1 magnification.
What you have on your 75-300 they add the word macro cause it will focus closer then the previous model. By no means is it a macro at all.
A true macro gives you the ability to take pics like these. Your normal 100mm macro has a min focus distance of around 7"-10"

ok make it happen lol find me one , lets say under 400 (cause i found a bunch on that site under 400) just not sure which one is good, i like the canon one , both my lens's are canon, but im willing to try another brand if they are good quality would a higher zoom be better? i seen one that is 105mm

any macro lens is going to be TACK sharp and great.
the Tokina 100mm, Tamron 90mm, Sigma 105mm and even teh canon 100 you will not see any difference at all in image quality. they are all GREAT.
the canon is more cause it has the USM. but when I shoot macro i do manual focus 90% of the time. its just easier to do with macro. If I had to choose between the Tokina, tamron, or Sigma 105..I would go with the Tokina..my buddy has that lens and its built like a tank and very good optics
