Finding mia fish

I added a diamond goby to my tank almost 3 weeks ago. I have not seen it since I put it in. What, if there is, is te best way to find it to make sure its still alive and kicking?? Being a newbie, Id like the reassurance thats it still alive before I get another fish

don't get another fish for awhile if that's ur concern. goby's hide, dig, etc...

I got a sixline wrasse the same day, and that fish is doing fine. So I basically need to be looking at the tank at the right time to see it??
