Finding Nemo

I just got home from seeing Finding Nemo and it was hands down one of the best (G rated) movies I have seen in a long time! It is a little heart wrenching at times but it still has a happy ending. Unlike most animated movies featuring marine fish, I could name almost every fish I saw. It was also relatively accurate on many things. Like there was a pair of clownfish at the beginning and the male was about twice the size of the female just like in real life. Probably the coolest thing in the whole movie was that in almost every underwater shot you could see little scales that fish had shed reflecting sunlight and creating little sparkles. The only bad side of the movie was the fish in the tank talked about being unhappy in captivity. In my opinion in a well sized, well fed and well maintained tank fish are better off than in the open ocean. All around it was a very good movie though and also one that you can take your kids to and enjoy also!

I thought the clowns were the same size in the movie. But it was good overall. Wish they showed more of the barracuda, and maybe thrown in some eels, puffers, triggers, groupers or lionfish.

I thought it was a great movie also. It was neat to see the fish in their home, and in charactor. It still does not beat Shrek. That one is the best. Nemo just did not have the adult humor like some of the other animated movies. I must say it is the best one that I have seen without that humor though.
