Finding Nori

Grocery store by the ethnic foods - chinese. They come in a flat plastic bag. Not every store will carry them.

You can go to your local supermarket and buy seaweed in the sushi or oriental section and pay $2 for a package "make sure there are no additives" or you can buy the exact same thing under the name "sea veggies" for $6-$8 a pack at your LFS, you make the call!

I bought some stuff at the lfs its called sally's seaweed salad... its dried out correct? I'm guessing this stuff is okay for now on though I bet the supermarket sells more for less.

I buy mine online from the big auction house e... It comes in precut sheets, $2.00 for 2 packs. I can feed my tank everyday with two sheets, and one pack lasts about a month.

i just saw a couple of different types at the super market and wondering what everyone is buying?
They had heated to 105', roasted, toasted, etc.
I didnt see any that said raw nori, what type is everyone buying?

You can use the roasted/toasted just make sure the ingredients say 100% roasted/toasted seaweed,, no additives, if you still have second doubts take a small piece of nori and put it in a glass of water,,do you see any oily film on top,, you souldnt! Im half/Japanese and i am not familiar with using oil of ANY type to produce NORI, but it does come seasoned, I have been using Roasted Nori from the MARKET for years! But the ingredients say 100% dried seaweed!
