Corallimorpharia are ricordias

wow thanks for al the info guys. its a real help. unfortunately i dont have any diving equipment for the deeper reefs. but ill keep an eye out at the shallower reefs.

i was looking on another forum
and one guy had pics of a huge ricordea colony that he found in big pine key
about 30 feet deep

It can turn into a real pain of you get the wrong officer, most dont have a clue and will arrest you anyway. That has not been a personal experience but it happens all of the time....So spend the night in jail get an attorney go to court bla.bla.bla, no thanks...uhh I rather buy them.

Happens all the time. I was using store bought Boston Mackerel for bait 2 years ago and FWC officer boards me and want's to see my bait. I tell him it's Boston Mack purchased from Bait-n-wait but he continues to bust my chops. Finally he writes me a warning. It's very difficult for those guys to keep up on the changing fish regs let alone harvesting regs. There just aren't enough officers and unfortunatly a lot of people think the reward outweighs the risk because it's easy not to get caught or to chuck them overboard if you are getting pulled over.
I'd love to see a "Conservation" forum on here someday.
