Finished my stand

I finished my latest stand. It's a 150 gallon made of Oak. I should have used 12 inch doors instead of 10 but just another lesson learned.

Yes. The hood will be a 13 inch 3 door

jlem...this is beautiful...did you have another thread showing your process? I have to build a 150 stand too...can I copy?

I was going to do a thread but really did not have the time. I did one a few years back and when they changed the site over to a new format they lost all of the pictures. They are really pretty easy. When I build the next one ( I am always building them for people ) I will try to do a thread. If you do build one stay away from 2X4's or anything bigger than 1 inch. Go to a store and take some pictures of their stands and you will notice that none have lots of inner support. Wood compresses so you want the stand to form to your tank and if you over build a stand you can actually stress a tank and do mor damage.

jlem thanks for the tip... I had gone out and bought 2.4's...I will use something else.
