How many gallons do firefish require? I was reading the description on here but they didn't say. Also it said they were jumpers, how much jumping would they do? thanks

i think its around 20-30 gallons I THINK, and thet do jump, ive heard lot of stories of them jumping out of a tank

The chances are slim....but it is possible depending on how wide the openning is.

My firefish jumped out because another fish was bullying it. It was sort of in a panic I guess, so the odds of it hitting a little hole would be slim, plus the water current is working against it there. I think they are awesome fish, though! I loved mine! My opinion is that they are easily bullied--or at least mine was.

I have a two inch gap on the back of my tank between the back wall and the lid so that I can hang pumps and other equipment. My firefish managed to jump out and I didn't know it till it was too late. Poor guy...

from what I've heard... they jump because something caused them too, in most cases aggresive fish, in others.. boredum?
