Fire Shrimp Taken Out

My fire shrimp got in a fight with my eel this morning, needless to say the eel won... I put a very small goldentail (really good deal) untill i can move him to my 200gal... I keep him fed really well so he wont eat anything else during his stort stay, I didnt feed him yesterday.......

This morning i see the fire shrimp in the corner of the tank on top of the magfloat! He is missing the following... 3 legs... 1 claw... 2 anatnas... but he is very alive... and very freaked out... The eel is going to be removed tomarrow... My question is will the fire shrimp be ok, and will his parts grow back? I feel really bad about this...

make sure you have proper iodine levels in your tank.
inverts need this for proper molting and new shells..
id say once your shrimp molts.. he'll have most of his parts back if not all.
if not one molt... on his second molt... hell be as good as new.

Good to know, yeah i dose with iodine and that was the first thing i checked this morning when i saw it... hes just freaked out, and I dont know why but i feel really bad, its the first thing i added to this tank and i have an attacment to him... a shrimp... lol

give him a piece of squid or something?
since hes so freaked out.

Yeah i tried to feel him, but he wont take food hes in shock i think, but i think by tomarrow and once i remove the eel he will be cool.. thanks for the sugestions though, funny your in riverside i'm in lake elsinore...

20-40 miles south....
Good thing too I don't plan on moving all my livestock due to a fire...

i was closer than that.. and the 241 .. how i get to work.. had fires and i think it still does.. i have to pretty much hold my breath going thru there.
and yeah good thing fires didnt get to us... wed have seafood stew in our tanks when we got back.

You may want to get the shrimp out of the tank for the night..........put him into a plastic container with a airstone, a little live rock and some food........He may not make it through the night with the eel.......my damsel didnt!!!.
