I just put in a Firefish Goby & a six line the six line is doing ok, kind getting picked on but not to bad. When I got up this morning the goby was nowhere to be found I thought she was dead. Late after noon I was walking but the tank & she was in a rock hidding. She will not come out now, she peeks once & awhile but Im afrade she was picked on & is now going to starve to death. Has anyone had this happen? I have 2 clowns , a coral beauty
lawnmower blenny, cleaner shrimp & a tang will this work how can I feed her? Whats there fav food? Any help is more than welcome as I may take it back & get another cleaner.

If it's getting picked on too bad they can jump out also so be careful of that. When we had ours, it ate mysis shrimp and pretty much anything we put in the tank. The last one we had jumped ship and we didnt know it for about a month when we saw it in our sump!! It was as this as a piece of paper, it lasted another month and ate well but, never regained enough strength and eventually died. Good luck with yours! Watch out for the six line wrasse though!

If you havent seen anyone picking on her (the goby) then it is probably just 'new kid on the block syndrome'. Some fish take a couple of weeks to get comfortable in a new tank and will literally hole up for a while till they feel safe. The firefish goby has that long dorsal fin to lock themselves into a hole in the rock, so dont try to pry it out!
My royal gramma hid in some rocks for several weeks before he came all the way out of the hole he had found on the back side of the rocks. I just made sure to put food practically in front of his face. Soak some mysis or any good quality fish food(not flake unless it was eating flake in the store) in Zoe or Zoecon. The fish cannot resist it. If you do this when the lights are dim, your goby will probably feel comfortable coming out to eat soon. Good luck

From experience sixline wrasses can pick on other fish (i.e. our chromis' and gold stripe maroon). I would have to say its a good thing you added them at the same time. If you had a bigger tank with lots of live rock for the fish to hide in, you will see better results also. They all have personalities some can be mean, and some can be peaceful! Keep us posted!
