Firefish Goby

I have one firefish goby in my 225g and was thinking of getting one for my seahorse tank, BUT I just read they like to be kept in pairs???? Does anyone have these fish, and do you have one or two??

I did a post on this subjest. I have read, this site as well, where these fish like to be kept in pairs. I had been told by my LFS that they can be kept only one per tank. I just purchaces a Purple and only got one because of this. It is suggested that if you are going to try and keep two to have a seperate tank that one can go in if the do not get along.

So in other words buy them together?? The tank that has just one, should I leave it that way?

Ive kept firefish in pairs and never had a problem at all. I've never actually heard of anyone saying that their firefish fought. I believe adding a pair to your tank would be fine. The only possible reason I could think of that the one in the 225 would fight a newly introduced on would be over terroritory and that could probably be fixed by rearangging some of the rockwork.
