Firefish missing ray

I have had (3) firefish for about 3 months in 160 reef. They split up early- (2) on one side, and one on the other. Today, most of the lone firefish's "ray" is missing? Will it grow back if I put him in quarantine?? Thanks, Dawn.

i have a firefish, and his had a chunk taken out of it, but i left him in the reef tank and it grew back. im not sure how much was taken out of ur fish's "ray" though, so im not sure

Yea one of mine lost it as well and it is back in full now

yep they grow back. at least mine did.
i also have three and i think there probalby better kept in pairs. mine went to war for about a week. 1 would hang out in middle of the water colum with the other swimming around him the third would then dart in and attack and the 2nd and third would fight for awhile. hense why mine got damaged. week later everyone went back to living in same cave again. they had split up during the war to 3 diffrent caves.
