How shy are Firefish cause I got one the other day and all hes been doing inside the rock and has never come out since but only to eat. so how shy are the our is that how they are.

if you have the orange firefish they perfer to be in pairs, that helps them to come out alot more but if you only have one then give it sometime unless its being bullied
as for the purple its alittle bolder than the orange but still a shy fish mine took at least a couple of weeks before they would stay out in the open :happyfish

Mine stayed hidden, or hovered just near its cave, for about a week. Then it started coming out more, hovering. Then I added a Marine Betta...and it's been again hiding a lot. Not sure if it's just because it saw a larger roommate or if there was some aggression when I wasn't watching.... I'm hoping it's the latter and it'll start coming out again! But it does get spooked easily and dashes back into its cave. (I have the Purple Firefish.)

Well I do have the red tail. I would have got to but they only had one. It is also been 3 days in a row and still he hasnt came out.
