firefish

i bought a fire fish about 4 or 5 days ago. the first 2 days he would swim out in front on my rocks but now he hides all day.
the only way i know/knew he was still alive was when i fed my fish yesterday i say a reflection of him behind my rocks then i guess he saw me and hid again.
is this common for them to hide like this?

Yes, I also only see mine when it's feeding time.

Give him a week are two cause mine would do this also, then after a time period he started to come out.

they're very shy fish, they also prefer to be kept in pairs assuming u have the orange. try to see if any fish are picking on your firefish, if not try feeding mysis that will help to bring them out to feed

Are u talking about the fire fish goby becouse i bought a pair of those and they hid for the first two days and later they where all ways out side and all ways together.

no not that fish. i think they just call it a fire fish.
joker_ca- i have seen my clown fish charge it once before when it came out.
