You definitely want to make sure that you don't have any agressive feeders in your tank, because they are so dosile that they will get starved to death for food.....I can't stress that enough....b/c I lost one my self because I had it in a tank with a Tomato Clown.

I agree with the above post, don't have any agressive feeders because these fish are very shy. I had a pair before, they were pretty cool fish but they mostly hung out on the other side of the tank away from the other fish. Mostly IMO they are a boring fish, at least mine were, all they did was sit there. They never did anything else, so in my experience I find them boring.

get them together and make sure they are cohabitating well, they are notorious fo rkilling each other at times, and also watch your top, they love to jump, one time i saw ours jump and it was several inches out of the water
other than that, watch thier tankmates(as mentioned earlier), they can starve for they wont compete for food adn if they are scared of thier tank mates they will also hide alot, for these are very hearty but skiddish fish and not at all aggresive

Not yet I want to get my sump up and running before I get any more livestock. Considering adding more sand it gets under 3 inches in areas and want to make sure it is thick enough and maybe ten more pounds of LR. would like to get all the sand rock and filters to were I want it before I get any more fish. Dont want to add fish and then start changing everything and stress everybody out. Another time patients come under test

Definate jumpers! I lost mine to carpet surfing. After reading BluTangs response, I'm wondering if my tomato clown chased him to the rim and forced him over the top:eek:

Actually, I kinda think that mine died because of the Tomato Clown's agressive feeding habits(he starved to death).....because he got sucked into the filter :(....I wish I could have done something, but I didn't know he wasn't eating that much because he always nibbled on the stuff I put in the tank.

I got one a couple days ago and was doing fine at first. My Pseudo chased him and nipped his tail a couple times. He hid for a day and 1/2 straight. I just seen him a little while ago swimming like nothing was wrong. The Pseudo tried to intimidate him and he stuck up for himself. He ate some brine too. Havent seen an attempt to carpet surf. Looks like hes going to be ok.

I have had my firefish for about 2 months now and he seems to be doing great. He always hangs around with my pair of flase perc. clowns and they have accepted him as one of the gang. At night he sleeps in a hoolow barnacle and hides in there when he gets spooked. Very nervous at first, but now he is very at home. They are very beautiful fish in my opinion.
