Firefox not working on Vista

I just tried to install Mozilla Firefox 2 on my laptop which is running Windows Vista but when I try to run it I get a pop-up window with code and the program doesnt open. Anyone having this problem? I cant find this specific problem reported online.

I would uninstall and reinstall the newest version of firefox.
also check out this link on some common troubleshooting wtih vista and not starting might be in the mcaffee site advisor if you are using that program.
BTW I just installed firfox on windows vista home basic and it works just fine so it may just be a corupt file inyour download.

Ive uninstalled and reinstalled 4x and each time is the same outcome.
Firefox 2.0.0.9 from mozilla.com.

I've been having trouble getting Firefox 2.0.0.9 to load on my XP Pro workstation in my office. I am wondering if there may not be a problem with the installer that they are having people download. 2.0.0.8 is working fine...

I downloaded and installed it yesterday with out any problems there is part of the faq section that talks about it not running right with macafee site advisor not sure if you have that running or not though.
