Fireplace OR Fishtank

Ok, Getting tired of looking at the same old same old at the house.
Sooo, I have a huge fireplace insert for gas logs. In 5 years I have never used the fireplace. I love the way it looks but, I dont have a bearskin rug yet.
Looking at the "IDEA" of taking out the fire place and adding a HUGE tank. There is a closet right behind the fireplace for all eqp. to be hidden.
I am just wondering if it would take away from value of the house?
Not every body wants a fish tank in a wall.
So, What do you think?
Thanks,
D

I guess the question is how long do you plan to stay in the house? I would diffinatly vote BIG TANK but it would be a lot of effort and maybe when you did sale someone would want it?
But it sounds like a great place to set-up!

Is there another fireplace or is there only one?
If only one it could take away from the selling point.
If you have another GET THE TANK!

We're all baias here:
I have the same dilema:
One wall: Fireplace or Plasma TV.
The opposite wall: 180g or bookshelf.
I am leaning for Plasma TV and in-wall 180g... drool...

I knew everbody would be biased on this subject.... I just needed a "little" push for me to call my sheet rock guy.
As far as local fish stores there are a few around Charlotte, But I have been treated so great by the guys at Fintastic I really dont look around.
I hit some of the chain stores if I am just killing time.
