Just bought my first coral. I went with zoanthids.. I am new to corals and have no real idea what im doing. What are a few guidelines to keeping zoanthids successfully? I always hear peple refer to feeding their corals? What does that mean?

Zoas are easy...put them on a rock and leave them alone...they spread..
You get some coral food...Micovert or phytoplankton..it is found at the LFS and you put about 1 capful in the tank once a week, don't overfeed..what feeds coral, also feeds algae blooms and cyanobacteria...for the day, turn off the skimmer, because skimmers draw everything out of the water, including the coral food, it takes coral all day to feed. They draw their food from the water column.
Hope this helps...Oh, and congratulations on your first coral...Pictures?
