First fish/ Ammonia spike?

I added my first two fish on Sunday night (two occilaris clowns) how long would it take to see a spike in a 55 gal if their was going to be one? This tank has cycled. my ammonia readings have been 0 for over a week before putting the fish in. This is a FO tank

Don't take this for truth but i wouldn't think that 2 small fish like that could cause a big spike in a tank that size. I would IMAGINE... that would make a very small spike for a couple days before the biological filter catches up with them.

I would agree that you should not see a spike at all if the tank has cycled. What is your setup? Live Sand? Live Rock? Protein Skimmer?

Hopefully you won't see any spike. That is the point of adding slowly. Wait a couple of weeks and let you bio filter time to build up to take care of what is in there and then you add the next fish. If you add too many at once, that would cause a spike which in turn will kill your live stock and crash your tank. Just kepp going slow.
