First Fish Jumped

Well I have read it a thousand times but never thought it would actually happen, but my firefish jumped this morning. I had over half of the top of the tank was covered but he found a way out. Luckily though it was while I was feeding this morning and I was paying attention. I would guess that he was out of the tank for 1-2 minutes and I placed him back in and he was extremely stressed and is now hidden under the rock work. We'll see if he survives this :(

Thats how I lost my firefish and a purple tile fish, Now I cover my tank.
Its a hassle keeping the glass clean but at least nothing is dying.
Hope he makes it!

ya, i remember i had a firefish once, it did not die from jumping out of the tank, it just died, they are great fish, and once again i hope your firefish will live

thanks guys, I'll keep you posted on his status. So far he looks like he is struggling but still breathing!

always amazed that more fish don't fly out of uncovered tanks. yes they look good but not worth the potential livestock loss imho.
