My fire shrimp molted for the first time today. Is there anything I should be looking for on the shrimp or the molt (which I'm leaving in for the hermits) to make sure it was a 'good' molt?
Also, how often does this happen? I've only had the shrimp for 2 weeks.
Shrimp often molt soon after introduction to the tank. If you are adding iodine, then he should be fine. However, right after a molt is when they are most vulnerable, so keep an eye on him if he isn't hiding in he rockwork.
