First order from saltwaterfish.com everything was dead

So I am wondering about my first order. Fed Ex had to shut down in Tennessee with my fish stuck there over night. Apperantly they frozed and were dead and cold when I got them. I did the refund request form but I really just want the order reshipped because I paid over 30 dollars for shipping that killed everything. I have not heard from Saltwaterfish.com and wondered what had happened from other peoples experiences. It was a Christmas gift and now all I have for them is dead fish and I am out the money with nothing to show for it. Again I am trying to get the order reshipped and not credited because of the high shipping cost.

give them a phone call, i'm sure you'rer not going to be the only one today. there should have been instructions on how to contact them. I'll put a link here for the admin though.

I called and did the form online with pictures. I just have had no commmunication as to what is going on and if I can just have it resent. I am really dissapointed and I know that it was the lay over by fed ex that killed the fish but, I really wanted to like this website. My boyfriend just started his reef tank about 6 months ago and there is only a little shop here so I thought it would be cool to get some differant things. And he is starting a fish tank this month. I just really wanted to find a way to get more variety for him, but now I am scared that I am out the money.

SWF is a solid company with an owner that cares, not only about the hobby, but also about this community.
As long as you followed the instructions regarding the money back guarantee you are fine.

Sorry to hear about your losses. SWF.com has a solid reputation for replacing any dead fish and crediting your account. I'm sure they will help you as much as possible. A.K.A. Give them another chance!

I repeat, this is not a good time to have overnight livestock shipped. Fedex will have hold ups like this through the rest of this month.

yea i want to order some fish but am waiting for after the new year.
patienc ,just like a maturing tank.

You should be aware that certain fish may not be suitable for his aquarium and there may be compatibility issues with certain fish. Sometimes saltwater fish do not make a good suprise gift. I am not trying to be mean or lecture, but you really have to be carefull with fish selection and a lot of preplanning and research needs to go into each selection.

I have never had to wait more than 2-3 days for a (no question asked) refund...I also have never had a problem getting an answer when I have called them...I had to leave a voice message a few times, and someone got right back to me. I highly recommend their fish and coral quality and also their service.

Do you usually get a shippping refund? I figured swf.com would get a refund from fedex and they would pass the dough to you.

i'd assume fedex has insurance with fedex. so if the item doesnt arrive overnight, they'd get full refund. if anything, can always dispute it with ur credit card company.

sorry about the loss of your new fish. the shipping delay is because of all the stuff people are having shipped for christmas. if you reorder i would ask for it to be shipped after the new year.

I just wish I had a confirmation that my refund was received and that I could just get it reshipped. I tried calling again all day yesterday and all I got was voice mail. Everything looked like it would have been great and I know it was Fed Ex. Thanks for the reassurance I will try again next week

All I can say is your boyfriend is lucky to have a nice girl like you to buy him fish online and to care so much.
As for the order, don't worry. I've bought fish from SWF.com and the one time it arrived dead, I got a refund no problem.
